I've decided to include an extract from my conversation with the Ancient Yew at Lamberhurst (East Sussex UK) as I'm struck by how many people seem to be trying to reach this state of what we term 'enlightenment'. And, truth be told, I've often wondered what this actually means. I suspect it means a zillion different things depending on the individual and one's perspective.
So, I thought I'd like to share what the Lamberhurst yew believes this to be.
Message Extract:
"Many of you are struggling to achieve enlightenment. But what is this elusive thing you seek? Is it not better to seek to improve your generosity of nature? Your willingness to help others in need? Your support for those less well off than yourself?
Why do you seek something so intangible when the path to true greatness lies in helping others. You should be practising loving kindness to all others irrespective of race, class and upbringing. This is the path to enlightenment. When you bring light to all those around you, then have you truly fulfilled your destiny."
I have a favour to ask: please would you LIKE, FOLLOW and SHARE the 'TalkingToTreesProject' facebook page to help spread the yew messages and raise money for the planting of new trees. Thank you!
