The Wilmington Yew near the picturesque little village of Litlington, East Sussex was one of the first yews I visited and has remained one of my favourites. Leaning heavily at an angle and propped up with several massive poles it still retains a wonderful shape (with a little niche that is just right to sit on) or maybe it's down to the beautiful energy we shared at the end of our conversation.
On a subsequent jaunt to Beachy Head with my daughter and her bf who were visiting recently we happened to be driving past the church and stopped for a brief visit so I could introduce them to the yew. Both conversations are below.
Male:
Year: AD 393
Conversation 1:
You are welcome to sit with me a while. It has been a while since anyone has requested my knowledge. Yes I am a grandfather... many times greater than you can imagine. I have seen a lot of things come to pass. I have been here since the three hundreds. The exact year I forget.
I would like the world to hear that peace and harmony reign supreme. I would like the world to hear that loving kindness is a bitter sweet pill to swallow, but it is necessary for the world, humanity, to evolve. They need to evolve into softer, kinder, more generous of spirit beings. Humans need each other for support. As do trees.
There is an underlying essence of 'All That Is' between all energy and it is our duty to preserve and nurture this essence. For it is this essence that sustains us in all that we do and all that we are. This may be too esoteric for many to understand but that is my message. It is my message of hope.
I'm glad you liked it and approve."
Me: Do trees have names?
"Yes trees have names but they would be incomprehensible to humans. Your auditory capabilities are not in tune and you would not be able to decipher or understand the noise of our song. It would sound like a mere rumble of noise. A bit like your Welsh perhaps! Our language is old. Literally as old as the hills and beyond. It has been nice talking to you. I have appreciated your company."
Me: Thank you Ancient One. One last question - do you get lonely?
"Loneliness and being alone are not the same. I am alone yes, but not lonely. How can I be lonely when I am connected to All That Is. We are timeless. We are eternal."
Looking back at my notes afterwards I was gutted to realise after the discussion on names I'd completely forgotten to ask what his English name would be if I could hear it. So, on my recent visit I had a couple of questions; one being his name and the other being a question someone had asked me regarding their gender.
Ohh yes... before I sign off I must mention something quite bizarre; in the car I was bemoaning the fact I had forgotten to bring with me a hair clip as it was quite a warm day. Then whilst wandering around the tree, lo and behold, I spotted a black hair clip attached to the bark staring me right in the face!!
Conversation 2:
"Hello Little One. It is indeed good to see and speak with you again.
Me: I'd forgotten how huge you are! The mind plays some weird tricks.
"Yes the mind certainly does play some odd games. I'm afraid that today is not the best day to chat and that you're in a hurry to be elsewhere?
Me: That is true although I'm also enjoying our time together.
"Little One, you have not lost The Gift if that is what is concerning you. We are still here in space and time to answer your questions.
Me: Do trees change gender during an incarnation?
"Hahaha. That would certainly be an interesting one but no, that is not how it works. We are like you in that we pick our form before we incarnate and that is what we stick with through each lifetime. Something I will ponder on as we have indeed been both male and female of the species many times as have you humans.
It has been a pleasure to interact with you again Little One. I am glad all is moving in the right direction for filling the Universe with our messages of hope and love.
Me: Thank you wise one. Do you have a name?
"Today I choose Hemerocallis. Yes... I love the appearance of the day lily. They are full of joy and although swift and fleet of appearance they exude an exquisite energy."
Me: Do you choose different names??
"Well.. why not? You guys seem to chop and change your names at will, although mine has lengthened rather than shortened, ha!"
